This website is operated by Company Name. The following policies are in effect:
Company Name Policies:
- When you join a guild, you will register a member profile. Administrators employed by Company Name can see the information you enter but do not utilize this information except as required to run this service.
- Those fields of your profile which are public (the ones which do not say they are private to your guild) can be seen by the general public. Thus, they can be picked up by search engines and so on.
- Personal contact information (such as email address) is never public.
- No private information in member profiles is ever sold or shared with third parties by Company Name.
- No one can view your password—not even anyone in the guild. Even Company Name cannot view your password because it is one-way encrypted. This is why we cannot recover your password should you forget it.
- Company Name does not use telemetry, tracking, or advertising cookies. Cookies are used only to remember your settings such as whether you are logged in and what time zone you are in (for automatic time zone detection, if enabled).
- Actions you perform that modify data on this site (such as adding a character or assigning someone's role) are logged by Company Name for troubleshooting and security purposes. This logging cannot be disabled, but only logs actual changes. In particular, general user behavior (such as which pages you access in which order) are not logged.
Guild Policies:
Information you enter into your profile is also visible to the guild/fellowship that you join. Note that Company Name is not responsible for what your guild does with your information.
- Many fields of your profile, such as your email address, can only be viewed by officers of your guild. However, your guild leader is responsible for determining who is an officer, and thus this is not within the control of Company Name.
- Guild-specific data on member profiles can be modified by officers of that guild that possess sufficient permissions. However, a guild cannot delete your account or change your password.
As such, you must determine for yourself whether you trust the guild in question enough to provide that guild with any personal information. Note that entering an email address is optional. You can create a member profile without one. You may be as private as you wish by controlling which fields you fill out and which ones you leave blank.
